Shell is Nigeria’s oldest energy company having been active since 1937, and It has a long term and continuing commitment to the country, its people and the economy. Today Shell Nigeria produces oil and gas from land and swamps in the Niger Delta and from deep-water reserves some 120 kilometres off the coast. Shell also operate Nigeria’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant, which exports all over the world.
As one of the world’s leading energy companies, Shell plays a key role in helping to meet the world’s growing energy demand in economically, environmentally and socially responsible ways. In Nigeria, the Shell operated companies SPDC, SNEPCo and SNG employ more than 6000 direct employees and contractors of which over 90% are Nigerians.
The largest contribution by Shell companies in Nigeria is through the taxes and royalties it pays, the energy it produces as well as its commitment to support and finance community development initiatives in the Niger Delta.
They have Lubricants such as Shell Helix, Shell Rimula, Shell Mysella, Shell Tellus, Shell Turbo and Natural Gas, Shell Motor Sport, etc.
Shell offices are found in Lagos,Warri,Abuja and port-harcourt with the head office at the Shell Industrial Area Rumuobiakani Port-harcourt.
