Transcorp Group was incorporated on the 16th of November 2004. The Company is a private sector response to the economic reform initiative of the federal government of Nigeria. These initiatives have placed the private sector in the driving seat of the national development process. With its structure and size, Transcorp's operation ensures that Nigeria effectively participates in the world economy.
Transcorp successfully raised a first-of-its-kind startup capital of N6billion. Transcorp is committed to being actively engaged in those sectors of the national economy that will stimulate growth and build a viable business enterprise that will be the pride of its shareholders. Transcorp serves as the vehicle that will mobilize capital on a large scale while investing locally on major projects.

Transcorp has been thrust into the frontline of the hospitality industry with its purchase of a controlling stake (51%) in the ownership of Nigeria's premier five star hotels, formerly the "Nicon Hilton" now rebranded the "Transcorp Hilton Hotel."
AGRO BUSINESS
their agro business subsidiary, Transcorp Commodities Limited, creates value by processing agricultural raw materials using advanced technology to develop, manufacture, distribute & market world class consumer goods for the business-to-business & retail ends of the food market.
ENERGY
Transcorp has developed strategies to become a major profitable private integrated African oil & gas player (Upstream & Downstream). Opportunities have been identified in the major areas of the value chain, ranging from exploration to refining.
INTERNATIONAL TRADE
Transcorp is positioning to become the "trade gateway" to West Africa.
To achieve this,the company is geared towards exploiting opportunities created by Group business (especially the offshore and gas sector) as well as trade links between Nigeria & other West African countries.
