Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku

Governor Darius Dickson IshakuDarius Dickson Ishaku was born on July 30, 1954 to Mr Istifanus Ishaku and Mrs. Naomi Ishaku at Lupwe in Ussa Local Government Area of Taraba State. He is the fifth child out of a family of ten children.

He began his early Education at St Bartholomew's Primary School, Wusasa, Zaria in 1961 and obtained his first School Leaving Certificate in 1967.

Darius Ishaku then proceeded for his Secondary Education at St. Paul's College Kufena, Zaria where he obtained his West African Examination Certificate (WASC) in 1972.

He then went to the school of basic studies and passed out in 1974 after which he gained admission into the School of Architecture, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in 1977. Darius did not stop there, but went further to obtain Masters Degrees in 1979.

He there fore develop interest in architecture and the study how to design buildings and other structures.

In 1974, he was admited into school of Architecture Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Architecture in 1977.

Darius Ishaku was the past Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs before he resigned in other to participate in the 2015 Gubernatorial polls. He however emerged as the Governor of Taraba State after a re-run election.
