MicComCables & Wires Ltd is the first indigenous cable manufacturing company in Nigeria. The business journey of the company started in 1974 when it operated under the business name MicCom Engineering Works Ltd. Later in 1978, the company commenced the production of quality cables and wires for the local and international markets.
In the late 1990's the name was changed to MicCom Cables & Wires Ltd.
Today, MicCom Cables & Wires Ltd has carved a bold niche for herself in the manufacturing of international standard cables. Indeed, the company has captured a sizeable market portion of the entire West Africa sub-region.
This mean feature was achieved as a result of company’s total commitment to the production of qualitative cables at all times. At MicCom Cables & Wires Ltd, quality is never compromised.
Recognizing the company’s quality policy and her strict adherence to it, Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) the official body in Nigeria saddled with the power to regulate compliance with the government standards for manufacturing of all products, has over the years on regular basis certified the suitability of the companies product for both home and industrial uses.
In 2001, the company’s products were further certified by the International Standards Organization when the company was awarded the ISO 9002 certification. Later in 2002, the body revalidated the company’s products with the ISO 9001: 2000 certification.
