Afam Power Station(s):

A new 180 Megawatts Alstom Gas Turbine Engine Power Station at Afam-Phase 1 completed.

Trans Amadi:

Phase II (GE Turbines) – 100 Megawatts: Completed and commissioned.
Phase I (Solar Turbines) – 36 Megawatts: Overhauled engines to bring available energy to 36MW.
Eleme - Upgrading from 20 - 75 MW

Provision/installation of the following:
 2x1275 Generating sets at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology
 2/2000KVA Generating sets at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology
 1x1275KVA Generating Set at Podium Block, State Secretariat Complex
 2x1500KVA Generating Set at Blocks A, B and C, State Secretariat Complex
 1x1500KVA Generating Set at Point Block, State Secretariat Complex
7.5MVA Injection Sub-Station Transformer at Abana Street to Supply and Stabilize
Power at Government House and the State Secretariat Complex

3. POWER DISTRIBUTION:

 200 Distribution Transformers of various sizes ranging from 200KVA to 500KVA deployed to various parts of the State.
 408 additional Distribution transformers Commissioned.
 5 No. 33/11kv Injection sub-stations at School of Nursing (2x2.5MVA)
 COE (2x2.5MVA)
 Borokiri (1x7.5MV)
 Abuloma (1x7.5MVA)
 Woji (1x15MVA)
 Construction of additional 28 No.of Secondary Injection Sub-stations

 3x60MVA 132/33kv transformer-TCN Oginigba and Afam Power Stations; outstanding with RE
 Construction of 4x60MVA 132/33kv Transmission Station- TCN Oginigba
 Construction of 2x60MVA 132/33kv Transmission Station at Elelenwo
 Afam to Elelenwo 132kv DC Transmission Line (on-going)
 132kv Turn In-Turn Out construction at Afam
 132kv Turn In-Turn Out construction at Oginigba
 132kv Triple Circuit Transmission Line from Trans Amadi Power Station to PH Mains, Oginigba

6. RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROJECTS:

Akwa Rural Electrification Scheme

 Abua Central in Abua/Odual LGA, for the first time in history is connected to the national grid by the Ministry of Power through the installation of 3 x 2.5MVA sub-Injection Transformer and 7 distribution transformers and TDN (Governors intervention).
 The communities are Ayama, Okana, Ogbema, Omokwa, Odaga, Otari, Emilaghan, among others.

 2 x 2MVA caterpillar Diesel Gen. Set have been installed to run alternately and provide stable power supply in these major and ancient towns.
